About me

I’m currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science and Public Management at Southern Denmark University, under the Gaia project, an MSCA-Cofund program. Through the TRANSPOSE project, I am investigating the relationship between economic growth, pension systems and CO2 emissions, to transition to a post-growth welfare state.

I hold a PhD in Public Policy from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Institute of Government and Public Policy. I was awarded the Extraordinary Prize for my thesis “Social care and welfare state residuality: an empirical approach to long-term care and childcare services, institutions, and outcomes”. My background is in Economics, with a BSc from Pompeu Fabra University and a double MSc from Warwick University and Lund University.

I am a current member of the economics association Espai08, a progressive think tank in Barcelona, and I support the Transforming Care Network as part of the management team.

I have combined my academic research with a strong focus on social transfer. I usually collaborate with public and social organisations in the elaboration of policy briefs, reports, advisory works and articles on topics related to the welfare state, social policies, social care, economics and democratic participation. I also publish regularly in media outlets. Recent collaborations include IDRA, Ivàlua, UNICEF, Fondazione Agnelli, Podemos, Coppietters Foundation and the Municipality of Barcelona.
